Are your products natural and toxin-free?
Yes. All Beetanicals balms are natural, organic and certified Australian Certified Toxin Free® and Made Safe®. We use beeswax, Manuka Honey from the Grampians, and Australian native botanicals — nothing unnecessary, and absolutely no petroleum, parabens or synthetic fragrances.
Where do your ingredients come from?
We source the majority of our ingredients locally, including beeswax and honey from the Grampians and Australian native botanicals from trusted growers & suppliers in Australia.
What makes Beetanicals balms different from other balms?
Our formulas combine beeswax, therapeutic-grade Manuka Honey and soothing botanicals, handcrafted in small batches and developed with guidance from a cosmetic formulator and an aromatherapy expert. They’re gentle, effective and made with family-safe ingredients you can trust.
Are your products tested on animals?
Never. All Beetanicals products are cruelty-free and bee welfare is so important to us.
Do your products contain preservatives?

Skin Safety & Suitability
Are your balms safe for sensitive skin?
Yes, our balms were created for sensitive skin and are gentle enough for the whole family. We always recommend patch testing first if you’re prone to allergies. Age safe icons are on every product.
Can children use your balms?
Yes, many of our balms are suitable for children. We offer both a Baby Beetanicals range and our Beetanicals range, with age suitability clearly shown on each product to help guide your choice. If you’re unsure, please feel free to get in touch and we’ll happily assist.
Are your products safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Many of our balms are suitable for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, however some products containing certain botanicals or bee venom will have specific safety notes. Always check the product page and consult your healthcare professional if unsure.
Are your balms suitable for irritated skin?
Many of our customers with sensitive or irritated use our balms to support their skin.
Our Bee-Soothed Balm is often chosen for delicate and easily irritated skin, and was originally created for our son when he needed something gentle for his sensitive skin. This same philosophy continues across our range today.
Bee Venom & Honey Questions
Do your bee venom products harm the bees?
No. Our bee venom is collected ethically using methods that do not harm the bees. A specialised gentle vibrating glass plate encourages the bees to release tiny droplets of venom onto the surface, which are then carefully collected. The frequency is designed to naturally attract the bees, and after releasing the droplets, they simply fly away unharmed.
We are deeply committed to the wellbeing of bees and ensuring our ingredients are sourced with care, respect, and sustainability.
Is Australian Manuka Honey the same as New Zealand Manuka Honey?
Australian Manuka Honey and New Zealand Manuka Honey both come from the Leptospermum (tea tree) family and share powerful antibacterial properties.
Our honey is harvested in the pristine Grampians region and is prized for its smooth texture, purity, antibacterial, antimicrobial properties and kid approved taste. The Manuka Honey is independently tested for it's MGO rating.
What does “263+ MGO” mean?
MGO stands for methylglyoxal — the naturally occurring compound responsible for Manuka Honey’s beneficial properties. Higher numbers indicate higher potency.
Can babies eat Manuka Honey?
No. Babies under 12 months should not consume honey of any kind due to the risk of botulism under 12 months. Age safe icon on our Manuka Honey is 1+ year old.
How to Use Our Balms
How much balm should I use?
A small amount goes a long way. Warm a pea-sized amount between your fingers and apply to the area as needed.
How often can I apply the balm?
You can apply the balms as often as required, morning, evening, or throughout the day.
What’s the best way to store the balms?
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct heat or sunlight. Because they contain no artificial stabilisers, balms may soften slightly in warmer weather — this is normal.
Can I use your balms on my face?
Yes, many customers use our balms on dry patches, lips and sensitive areas on the face.
