Beetanicals is an Australian wellness brand built on love, legacy, and the healing wisdom of nature. We handcraft natural and organic products that nurture families across Australia, offering hope, healing, and nourishment through every bee-autiful balm and premium Active Manuka Honey.
What began as one mother’s search for relief has grown into a celebrated wellness brand, trusted by mums, bubs, and families everywhere. This is our story as told by our Queen Bee and founder, Tanya.
The Beetanicals story, from the bee-ginning
Rooted in a beekeeping heritage dating back to 1939, Beetanicals carries forward three generations of respect for bees and the natural healing gifts they provide. As lifelong lovers of bees with a deep appreciation for the remarkable role they play in wellbeing, we’ve always understood the benefits of beeswax as a natural emollient and humectant but it wasn’t until our son Cooper was born in 2015 that we truly experienced just how powerful it could be.
As a baby, Cooper had sensitive skin and suffered from a dry skin condition that required gentle, safe, and effective care. Unable to find a suitable solution on the shelves, I decided to create one myself. Drawing on the natural antibacterial, moisturising, and healing properties of beeswax and Active Manuka Honey from the Grampians, as well as the power of Australian native botanicals, I crafted what would become our foundation product, Bee-Soothed Balm. With a breakthrough formulation that genuinely did what it promised, I knew then it had the potential to help many more families and so Beetanicals was born.
From the start, we committed to doing things properly, safely, thoughtfully, and with families at the heart of every formulation. Working alongside a cosmetic formulator and an expert in aromatherapy and essential oil safety, we developed our first range of family balms with clear age-safety guidance to support families at every stage. Alongside Bee-Soothed Balm, this included Boo-Bee Balm, Belly-Bee-Nourished Balm, Baby Beetanicals Bee-Well Balm (6+ months), Bee-Well Balm (3+ years), and Baby Beetanicals Sleepy-Bee Balm (6+ months).
As our family’s needs evolved and our community grew, so did our range. Guided by customer feedback, extensive testing, and real-life results, we are now entering a new phase of innovation. This includes the launch of advanced bee venom balms, Bee-Eazed Balm for muscle and joint support and Bee-Rejuvenated Balm for firming and smoothing the skin, alongside the next generation of family favourites, including Sleepy-Bee Balm (3+ years) and Bee-Calm Balm. Each product is developed with the deepest care and the highest standards, ensuring only formulations that truly make a difference are brought to market.
Today, Beetanicals delivers products to families in every state across Australia and has been recognised with multiple industry awards. While we’ve grown, our commitment remains unchanged. Every product is still handmade using pure beeswax, Active Manuka Honey from the Grampians, and carefully selected Australian native botanicals. Our balms are natural and organic, proudly certified Australian Certified Toxin Free® and Made Safe®, meeting global standards for quality, purity, and cleanliness so you can feel confident in every use.
